Fire. All Too Close
I woke up at 4:00 am today for no reason at all.
Thought about going to the gym, but decided it was a little too early (I usually get up at 5am to head out to the gym). Of course forcing myself to sleep another hour led to oversleeping by 1.5 hours and never got to the gym this morning.
When I was heading out to work, I thought a little odd seeing clouds of smoke from all directions. Nonetheless I pressed on. It can't be that big of a problem.
It so turns out that 1,500 acres of Cleveland National Forest had burned down by 7:00 pm today. And 0% of that fire was contained. 0% was controlled.
My home?

We're only one street down from evacuation area.
The fire is about 5 miles horizontal distance from my house (if the http://www.gmap-pedometer.com/ is accurate). But considering the terrain, the actual distance coverage will be greater. Not by much, though.
Toll Road 241 is the standing ground between the fire and residences.
Of course what's on everyone's mind tonight would be, "should I pack and be ready to evacuate?"
