Two Hours and Thousands of dollars later
After a two-hour meeting of presenting things we already know - and if we didn't know, surely could have been made known to us in a more simpler way - and discussing things that had been discussed for the past 5 years that I've been working there; and introducing ourselves to people whom we already know and with whom we associate on a daily basis, I've come away with absolutely nothing useful except even stronger confirmation that this organization is run by a bunch of morons trying to impress other morons in higher positions on the hierarchy.
And the best of it all?
We've wasted thousands of dollars, and one moron who put together this meeting looks exceptionally good in the eyes of higher management. And the rest of us are just us. And the smart ones who did not attend the meeting are frowned upon even more because.... well, they're not "team players."
But what's even better than that?
That same information will be discussed / presented again in about 2.5 weeks. In front of even more people, which means that it's going to take even longer introducing ourselves to people we already know; discussing the crap that we've discussed for the past 5 years. Or even longer.
